Drinks and Snacks
At Red John you can drink almost everything your heart desires. Start your day off with a nice cup of coffee or tea from our local suppliers cafefaro Biel and teebox (former Gwürz-Zouber Solothurn), or just enjoy some refreshing fruit juices or soft drinks before you go over to have an sparkling aperitif on our sun-flooded patio next to the Aare river. Yes, of course we do also serve some selected wines and prosecco but our true strength lies within our broad range of beer and whiskey. To warm you up during the cold days we offer you also some hot drinks laced or not and as the night falls we have a fully equipped bar that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of long drinks, cocktails and shots.

Riegele SIMCO 3 IPA
DEU / ABV: 5%This India Pale Ale owes its flavour to the hop triad of Hallertauer Perle, Hallertauer Opal and American Simcoe hops, which, cold-stopped at zero degrees, refine the beer in the maturation cellar.

IRL / ABV: 4.5%Delicate but deep fruity flavour derived from fresh ripe apples with hints of oak and spicy vine fruits.

Baarer Bier Erdmandli Amber (0.33l)
SUI / ABV: 5.0%The luminous hue, which ranges between amber and red gold, warms the heart of every beer connoisseur. The aroma is reminiscent of juniper and starts with a tangy-sweet impression in the mouth, which then gives way to notes of malt and caramel.
Hop House 13 (0.33l)
IRL / ABV: 5.0%A lager made with so much more. More hops. More character. More taste. It’s a lively sip with accents of apricot and peach.
Appenzeller Ginger Beer (0.33l)
SUI / ABV: 2.4%Refreshing, light bodied ginger beer with a spicy fresh ginger flavour and a warming finish.
Sam&Fritze's Pilsschen (0.33l)
SUI / ABV: 5.0%This local craft beer has the typical bitter finish of a pale lager with a slight sweet taste of butter.

Michter's US*1 American Whiskey
USA / ABV: 41.7%Very fruity and sweet, this whiskey from Michter's positively drips with toffee and butterscotch, enlivened by toasty notes and a hint of vanilla and dried fruit. Technically not a bourbon due to its ageing in 'bourbon-soaked' barrels as opposed to new oak.

USA / ABV: 40%Mellowed drop by drop through 10-feet of sugar maple charcoal, then matured in handcrafted barrels of own making.
